This months LICA meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 3rd, at a special time, 6 PM, at the 4th floor of the Quinn Building, 35-20 Broadway.

On Tuesday, August 3rd, from 5 to 8 PM, LICA will be tabling at the National Night Out event (like we do every year). We will use to tell people about LICA, help educate people about our issues, petition, give out materials, etc. It will be at Astoria Park on the Big Lawn. If you can help us out, please send an email to stbgamefan87@aol.com.
On Tuesday, August 10th, at our meeting, we will be inviting other groups to come and observe the new Optical Scan voting machines that will be used for now on starting with the September elections. The Board of Elections will be at our meeting and will hold a demonstration of the voting machines. It is important that our community gets a chance to look at and practice with the new machines before we actually use them on election day. It will be on the 4th floor of the Quinn Building, 35-20 Broadway, at 6 PM on 8/10 (note the special time- 6 PM). Please invite anyone who might be interested in looking at and practicing with the new machines.
